About the server
Lunaris is a survival multiplayer server on Forge 1.20.1, built around the Villager Recruits mod. Players found factions, claim territory, raise armies and, when diplomacy fails, lay siege.

Found a faction
Every nation has its own name and a unique banner. Gather your people and claim chunks where no one else can build or break blocks.
Diplomacy
Mark other factions as ally, neutral or enemy. Send messengers, negotiate pacts and choose your neighbours wisely.
Armies and sieges
Recruit villagers: bowmen, shieldmen, horsemen, captains and siege engineers. Attack enemy territory and take it by siege.
Mods
The server runs Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.28. On your client you need every mod marked “Required”, on the same versions as the server.

Installation guide
Takes about 10 minutes. You need Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1.
Install Forge 1.20.1
Download the installer from files.minecraftforge.net, for Minecraft 1.20.1, version 47.4.28, the same as the server. Run it and choose
Install client. If the file won't open, install Java 17 (for example Eclipse Temurin) and try again.Launch Forge once
Open the Minecraft Launcher, select the
forgeprofile and press Play. The first launch creates themodsfolder. Close the game once you reach the main menu.Add the mods
Copy the
.jarfiles marked “Required” and “Recommended” in the Mods section into themodsfolder. On Windows, press Win+R and type%appdata%\.minecraft\mods. Discord Integration does not go on the client. Don't mix in mods from other versions.Give the game memory
In the launcher, go to Installations, edit the Forge profile, open More options and set
-Xmx6Gin JVM Arguments. On a PC with 16 GB of RAM, 6–8 GB for the game is a good starting point.Join Lunaris
Multiplayer, Add Server, and enter
lunarissmp.mcsh.ggas the address. Once in, get your role on Discord and join a faction or found your own nation.
Rules
By joining the server you accept these rules. Staff have the final word in any situation not covered here.
General rules
- G1No cheats, hacked clients, X-ray or mods that give an unfair advantage.
- G2Report exploits and bugs to staff instead of using them.
- G3Respect in chat and on Discord: no insults, discrimination or harassment.
- G4No advertising other servers and no spam.
- G5One account per player. Alt accounts used for an advantage in war lead to a ban.
- G6No lag machines or builds made to overload the server on purpose.
War rules
- R1War is declared before the first attack: the target nation is marked as enemy in the Diplomacy menu and the war is announced on Discord.
- R2No griefing, raiding or sieges against a nation you are not at war with.
- R3No combat logging: whoever leaves the game mid-fight loses the fight.
- R4No spawn-killing and no traps at other players' spawn.
- R5Peace treaties must be honoured while they are in force.
- R6Disputes are settled through a ticket on Discord, with evidence (screenshots or video).
